Trudi Drewett

"I am a Cornish painter based in Newquay, where I have my own art gallery. My Cornish heritage, love of folklore, sea, landscapes, and wildlife inform my practice. I love to create a sense of time and place, capturing the feeling, smells, and sounds, often making notes within my work to help convey this in my own unique style. Inspired by swimming in the sea and researching an area's history, I build a feeling of space so that my work tells a story. I have a BA Hons degree in Illustration and enjoy working on illustration projects, which ultimately inform my practice as a painter. My art is sold worldwide, and I am enjoying my artistic journey, learning and growing all the time, which means my paintings stay fresh and evolve with me."
